Big News: Chris Joins the IWA Board of Trustees

We are incredibly proud to share some very exciting news: Chris is joining the Board of Trustees of the Inland Waterways Association.

The IWA has championed Britain’s canals and navigable rivers for more than 75 years, working to protect threatened waterways, support restoration and ensure that the network continues to thrive for future generations.

For Chris, the appointment brings together his love of the waterways with a longstanding commitment to charitable service.

His previous voluntary roles include more than ten years as a trustee of Headway East London and serving as Treasurer of the South Downs National Park Trust. He has also supported practical conservation and restoration projects, giving him first-hand experience of the extraordinary work undertaken by volunteers.

As a trustee, Chris will contribute his professional experience in finance, governance and organisational leadership to help the IWA pursue its charitable ambitions and respond to the challenges facing the waterways.

This is a significant and thoroughly deserved appointment—and an exciting new chapter in our shared waterways journey.

We could not be prouder.

Congratulations, Chris!
